Shriram Group unveils plans to list its Shriram General Insurance and Shriram Life Insurance subsidiaries in the next two years, alongside an asset reconstruction company focused on retail loans.
Mumbai: The Shriram Group has announced its intention to list its life and non-life insurance subsidiaries, Shriram General Insurance and Shriram Life Insurance, within the coming two years. This was revealed at a recent press conference by Umesh Revankar, the executive vice-chairman of Shriram Finance, who emphasized the profitability and strong performance of both insurance companies. The Group aims to further scale these entities before proceeding with the listing.
In addition to the insurance ventures, Shriram Capital has received in-principle approval to establish an asset reconstruction company (ARC). Revankar clarified that the ARC's primary focus will be on retail loans, indicating a strategic move to address this specific market segment.
Further bolstering its brand presence, Shriram Finance has signed on former Indian cricket player and coach Rahul Dravid as its brand ambassador.
