BVG Group is making significant strides in renewable energy with its new indigenous solar module manufacturing plant in North India. This project will not only supply top-tier solar companies but also create numerous employment opportunities, reinforcing the 'Make in India' initiative.
Bharat Vikas Group (BVG) is set to energize North India's economy and renewable energy sector with the announcement of its indigenous solar module manufacturing plant. This move marks BVG's foray into solar PV manufacturing, supplying modules to tier I solar EOC companies both in India and abroad. The project underscores the company's commitment to sustainable energy solutions and national economic growth.
BVG Clean Energy Ltd., BVG’s Solar Division, is spearheading this initiative, poised to become one of the largest solar module manufacturers in Northern India. The Phase-1 of the project features a 500 MW fully automated module manufacturing line, utilizing the latest European technology and designed for future upgrades to next-generation cells and modules. This positions BVG at the forefront of solar technology adoption and manufacturing excellence.
The project's technological prowess is further enhanced by its partnership with Mondragon Assembly, a specialist turnkey line provider from Spain. This collaboration ensures that BVG's manufacturing line is equipped with high technological value and adaptable to evolving needs within the solar industry.
"This will be one of the biggest lines in North India, delivering top-quality products to meet the country's needs. This initiative aligns perfectly with the ‘Make in India’ programme, supporting the nation's ambitious plans for ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’," stated Mr. Hanmantrao Gaikwad, CMD, BVG India Ltd., highlighting the project's strategic importance and national impact. Furthermore, the project is expected to generate significant employment opportunities in North India, bolstering the local economy.
Mr. Pankaj Dhingra, CEO, BVG Clean Energy Ltd., emphasized the advanced nature of the project, stating that the new 500 MW automated line will produce M10, ½ Cut cells from day one. The line, expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2023, is designed to produce over 2,000 modules daily and is fully upgradable to next-generation modules and cell sizes, ensuring long-term relevance and competitiveness.
BVG's journey in renewable energy began in 2017, with a focus on developing and commissioning solar projects. With this new manufacturing plant, BVG is poised to make an even greater contribution to India's renewable energy goals, offering customized turnkey solar solutions for various customer segments.
